The issue of bank cards is the issue of bank cards and the further maintenance of the accounts of the issued cards.
In general, two types of activity can be distinguished for the issue:1) production or personalization of payment cards and their issuance to cardholders; 2) maintenance of accounts of issued cards, settlement of transactions carried out on issued cards. Strictly by definition, the owner of the issued card (card owner) is the issuing bank, and the person who received the card is the card holder (card holder). Thus, the person who received the card is a cardholder or a customer of the bank, but not the cardholder. When issuing cards, the issuing bank has to pay great attention to security issues and fraud control, since the card, in fact, is the key to the cardholder’s account.
